Easter/Spring Photos!

The weather today was ABSOLUTELY gorgeous!  First real "shorts weather" day this year, high of 77 and sunny.  Perfect weather in my book!

I decided to take full advantage of the beautiful day and get Jackson's Spring/Easter pics taken.  I'm no professional, and I don't have a DSLR (I've got a canon powershot I recently finally learned how to use the manual settings ;))  But I was super happy with how they turned out.  Love them- and love my baby boy!

Here are some of my favorites:

Spring is in the Air.... finally!

Hey!  It's been a while since I updated-- things are going great though!

Little man is now 16 months old.  Little turd STILL isn't walking on his own.  He certainly zips around crawling and cruising (holding onto furniture and pushing his push toys).  He's saying more words now... he has added the word "car" to his vocabulary and will try and repeat us sometimes.  He's also working on his molars still, He's got one top one most of the way through, the other top one is barely through, and the bottom two I can feel but haven't actually broken through yet.  Fun times!

Blowing Kisses!

We haven't been successful in our night weaning attempts so far.  We decided to put it on hold for a bit, and thankfully he HAS gotten a little better.  There for a while it was getting ridiculous.  Now he typically nurses in the very early hours of the morning (like 4-5ish) and goes back to sleep till around 7 when he's up for the day.  Then most days he will go the entire day and not want to nurse again till bedtime, then once between 10-12 when he comes in our bed.  Some days are worse but I can handle the good nights.  I think we are just going to have to get him sleeping in his own room all night for it to really work for him.

Duke & Jackson watching the snow melt!
The winter weather has FINALLY broken.  I REALLY hope that snow is in the past until next winter.  I normally like snow but after this winter I'm officially OVER it and ready for Spring!  We've been able to get Jackson outside quite a bit the last few weeks and he loves it!

Got to try out his wagon he got for Christmas!

Still LOVES to swing!

Yesterday was my birthday--  The big 2-8!  Gosh it feels so crazy to be almost 30!  Not that 30 is old really, but I guess in my head I still think of myself being in my early 20s.  Not anymore!  I had a good day yesterday.  Today we are going out with my parents and one of my brothers to celebrate!  (my other brother & his fam are out of town)  Red Lobster here I come.  YUM!

Jackson enjoying some Qdoba queso dip!  We got takeout per my request from there last night.  LOVE Qdoba!

Some other fun exciting things-- we are blessed to be getting an awesome tax refund this year, it should be here sometime next week (yay!)  With it we will have enough money to finish our emergency fund, pay off all three medical bills from Jackson's birth, AND one of our credit cards!  (woot woot!)  We also have allotted ourselves some "spending money" from it, so I'm looking forward to doing a bit of shopping and getting a much needed haircut!

YAY!  We still have a long way to go-- but it's a relief to finally be making some progress!

Oh and I am doing VEDA (Video Every Day in April) for the first time over on my YouTube channel... so go check it out! :)

Alright that's all for now-- I'm hoping to do some Spring/Easter pics of Jackson soon (as soon as I get his Easter outfit!) so look for a post with those very soon!
