Ok so pretty much all I write about in here is Brew and I and our wedding planning and such I decided to change the focus to "US", especially since we're getting ready to get married and all that stuff ;). Not that he will be posting anything- ever- I mean I just recently talked him into a facebook! lol.
Anyway- right now things are pretty busy for us. Brew is still working at Advance but now is in the process of finding a (better) job. He's also going to take a class this summer, 2 in the Fall and then hopefully will be graduating in December!!! Yay! As for me I've been subbing a LOT which is good for money bad for wedding planning lol. I feel like I'm still semi-on top of things, but I'm off tomorrow and hoping to get some stuff done. More than that I'm worried about getting our house ready to be moved into by June. The to-do list is two pages long- front & back!!!
Our (well, my) wedding shower is next Saturday the 10th :) I'm excited! Haha I've totally been cheating and sneaking peeks at my registry to see what's been purchased. I don't know WHO is getting them so I guess it's not REALLY cheating. It's ok I'm not big on surprises anyway. I get excited when I see someone bought us juice glasses or a blender :) haha.
Alrighty well that's all for now! New URL if anyone wonders-- http://thedeans626.blogspot.com

March post
So it's been a long time so I thought I'd make a quick post/update!
Wedding planning is coming along- I have the invitations (just need to send them out), my dress, and bridesmaid dresses and flower girl dress. I also have those random little things (guestbook, etc) and flowers. I'm in the books for a cake but I need to get down there & make some decisions on the design. And the only major things left to take care of is the guys' attire, music, and reception decorations. I feel like I am on top of things as far as that goes. Maybe it's because we're having an "economy" wedding. I'm super excited though-- after today there's 100 days to go!!! <3
The other big project that awaits us is our house! We will be living in the house that used to belong to my grandparents, when they passed away they left it to my aunt, uncle, and dad. It is paid for right now, and my uncle had been living there. But he's getting married in a couple weeks so after that it's ours! We just have to pay utilities, taxes, insurance, and minor up-keep. It needs some improvements before we move in though. Kitchen counter tops need covered, carpet needs pulled up (yay for hardwood floors underneath!), new linoleum in the bathroom (and eventually kitchen) and all the walls need primed and painted. So it's a lot to do-- I'm hoping to get a lot done during Spring break when I won't be working, and hopefully we'll be done w/everything by the time the big day rolls around!
Speaking of work, I've been getting a good amount of work lately so I'm really happy about that :) Brew is currently on the job hunt. Advance is ok for now, but there are no opportunities for advancement, the pay's not great (not to mention raises are non-existant), and he's tired of dealing w/the people he works with. So he's on the prowl for a new job. I'm praying he finds a good one relatively soon, simply because he's unhappy where he is right now.
He's also hopefully going to be graduating either in the Fall of 2010 or Spring of 2011. The last couple years have been tough as far as school goes- so when he gets that associate degree we're having a party! As far as my schooling- I've decided to pursue grad classes at WVU. I decided on doing a Master's in Special Education with my K-12 Multi-Categorical Certification. (Basically I can work with students with learning disabilities, behavior disorders, or other health classifications) It's what I did during my long-term last Fall. Granted the paper work sucks and I don't want to do it forever-- but it will get my "foot in the door" so to speak. And once I have 6 hours toward the certification, I'm considered "permitable" which means I can be hired into a Multi-Cat. position. Because of the changes they are making w/Special Ed, Multi-Cat. is in high demand so I'm hoping that I can snag a job there, then transfer into regular ed whenever I can! That's the plan at least. I'm not certain how I'm going to pay for this though... that we shall see I suppose! I'm going to try and take one or maybe two classes in the Fall. I was going to do the summer but I figure w/the wedding and house and all that I'd better wait till August to start taking classes!
Ok well I'm off-- handbell practice, church, then out to eat w/Brew! <3 Until later!
